To Buckler backstage SS11 and cute model guys at NYFW.
DISCO BIRDS! I guess I’m not the only one to say it but it can’t hurt to say it one more time – this NYFW collection was the best. We’ve already seen the homage of the 70’s taken over but finally RODARTE comes and do something unconventionally perfect. The disco flicks mixed with hot pumas ruling the runway in a 60’s rock going 70’s glam appearance. Something that brings me vibes from Tom Ford’s golden days back at GUCCI, which is a pretty good grade. I definitely have to get my hands on the patent leather bomber and the V-cut blouse, just saying…
Something that inspires me are people with style and their different styles. Last day of NYFW and so far the best inspiration aside from the streets has been RODARTE.

In the homage of the 70’s, FRAME DENIM presented their Fall 2015 collection earlier today in New York. A collection that not only consisted of jeans this time but a full wardrobe. It echoes minimalism with its clean lines, 70’s shapes and cuts, natural color palette and accessories. Besides the collection the model herself actually kind of remind me of Vanessa Paradise, which brings me to Paris and the peak era of Jane Birkin. Vibes I don’t mind at all, but who would? Regarding bringing back the flared denim, I haven’t been back since 1997 when I use to wear my GUL & BLÅ jean day and night, I welcome them with open arms. Love the high waist too. My only concern, however, is that I have to wait an entire semester to have what Grede and Torstensson referred to as “chic essentials”…
New York Fashion Week brought us winter in all fashion senses and never seemed to give up. What in particular caught my eyes were these fox furs at this blond beauty and @Manrepeller by Tommy Ton. I’ve been in Stockholm, Paris and New York this winter and the one time I get snow was back in November – you’re right – in New York. What happened? Is this to expect next week at Paris Fashion Week or are we lucky? Time to gear up!
NYFW is up and running! Today I’m looking back at some of my favorites moments from New York starting with gorgeous super model Erin Wasson. Clicky click on MORE to see all! Happy lovely Sunday from me with love.
WAWOOM! Victoria Beckham presented a very strong SS2014 collection yesterday at NYFW. It was chic and sporty at the same time. Colors over presented for spring are white and black but VB also added grey, burgundy and cerise to get her touch at the trend. There’s still a graphic feeling with triangles on organza based tops and jackets together with super feminin skirts paired with a high waist belt. The ruffle fitted skirt had slopped fronts, which I found interesting and new. So did the spaghetti long ruffel tanks feel. I’m just saying keep your eyes on the belt for spring! And leggy and high rise!
THINK Russian doll and fairy tale, designer duo Pierpaolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri are the ones telling the childhood fable of “Hansel and Gretel.” After my trip to Moscow last year and my obsession for the Russian blog elite – all I wanted was to wear coquette dresses, knee socks, bow pump, headbands, clutches and “puffy” dresses. So I was happy to see Red Valentino feminine collection AW13 at New York Fashion Week today – DA!
HE does it again! Bring things down to it’s simplicity yet perfection. The cutouts, see-through stripes, spongy tees and sweatshirts/80’s skiing jackets, sexy slits dresses and more makes me wanna jump. SO looking forward to a symmetric black and white spring. How about you?
The beautiful jewelry from Maria Nilsdotter really came to life at the Royal Armoury. Housed in the spectacular and beautiful cellar vaults of the Royal Palace it really sets a mood. Key makeup artist Sophia Eriksen/Hallundgren did an amazing and effectual look with golden freckles. Her is what she told me about the look: “ […]

The day started out as day one, sunny and exciting. The shows for the day had a mix of apparel designed by Alexander Schaper, mushrooms, dancing models and more. Around the runways you could see familiar faces as Anine Bing, Jonna Bergh, Niklas Berglind and Sofie Farhman. Filippa K Woman and Man collection took us […]
Models dancing in over a sea of confetti, models entering a dystopian world of huge mushrooms – or simply walking over the runway Stockholm has something for all tastes. Here are the highlights from the second day of Fashion Week in Stockholm. By the No By the No sent out dancers, sweeping in groups over […]
Stockholm Fashion Week started for me, not with a bang, but with a conceptual, interactive, fashion/art show (because, what else?). Amaze is an artistic fashion show running its second year and consisting of a small number of younger, up-and-coming designers. This year it featured new collections from Per Götesson, Amanda Gerell, Minna Palmqvist, Daimorf , […]
At the first day at Stockholm Fashion Week off the runway, the celebrities’ brawled in before everyone els, the Street Style photographers were scooting big hats and the alternative color mafia shined out the signature Scandinavian minimalistic, not to mention sport-fashion brand Björn Borg who took the fashion industry to Långholmen in Stockholm to witness […]
First show out on Stockholm Fashion Week SS16 was Ida Sjöstedt, a personal favorite of mine. It is always a pleasure dreaming away in the girly, bubbly world of Ida. Today was no exception, I loved this collection, I actually think it might be her best on yet! Romantic and flowery but she also brought […]
The first day of Stockholm Fashion Week has brought to us a variety of styles to choose from and we have selected a few of the most important creations. The 70’s is a clear source of inspiration, and just like on Copenhagen Fashion Week, the colors to choose are mostly white, black and red. Ida Sjöstedt […]
